FAIL: Berrylicious Microwave Minute Muffin

Now, recipe seems simple enough and the picture posted on the pinterest link looks absolutely awesome.  As you can see from my picture this was an epic fail, not only from the looks of the end product, but the taste was equally awful.

I did put this in a really large mug, since the recipe cautioned about overflow, but the outcome wasn't brown or crispy, let alone tall and well set.  It smelled solely of microwaved eggs, and looked like it too.  The oats were not visible what-so-ever, and there definitely was not nice brown "muffin" look.  The taste?  Like microwaved eggs with some blueberries thrown in.  It didn't taste like a muffin, or oatmeal (which is what I expected), I took two small bites and tossed it.

If someone figures out how to make this work & taste good, let me know.  It would be a great quick morning breakfast before work, however the recipe, as is, is definitely a no-go.

1/4 c quick oats
1 egg
a small handful of blueberries
1 TBL milk
some brown sugar or Stevia
mix it all up in a coffee mug

Place in the microwave for 1 min. Watch it carefully! This could overflow!
If the muffin top does not look firm, place back in 30 sec at a time.
Once ready, flip mug upside down onto a plate
