Biscuit Pizza Bake

*****
Mike says he likes this better than actual Pizza, hence the 5 stars, because pizza is amazing!

1 lb ground beef
2 tubes (12 oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 can (15 oz) pizza sauce
1 c chopped green pepper
1/2 c chopped onion
1 can (4 oz) mushroom stems and pieces
1 pkg (3.5 oz) sliced pepperoni
1 c (4oz) shredded mozarella cheese
1 c (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink.  Meanwhile quarter the biscuits, place in greased shallow 3qt baking dish.  Top with pizza sauce.  Drain beef; sprinkle over biscuits and sauce.

Layer green pepper, onion, mushrooms, pepperoni and cheeses.  Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted.  Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

*If you do not like mushrooms or ground beef or any of the other "toppings" substitute with something you do like, I have used olives, bacon, ham, etc.
*You can also use any type of biscuit that you have on hand, they do not have to be "buttermilk".
*If you use a smaller dish it will be much thicker, I usually have to double the time when I do this.
